The Academy of Finance hosted their Leadership Conference on Monday, March 2nd at the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center. It was a great event! Thank you to KPMG, Bank of Labor, KCFD, Park University, CCF of KC, and the Kauffman foundation for making this a great event!

Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball Sub-State Brackets have been released. Boys will travel to Marysville on 3/2/2020 for a 6 pm tip-off. Girls will host Hiawatha at Turner High School on 3/3/2020 for a 7 pm tip-off. LET'S GO CYCLONES!!!
Varsity girls wrap up the season with a road victory over Pembroke Hill 58-37. The Cyclones finish the season 16-4. Sub-State Basketball bracket will be seeded tomorrow. Stay tuned....GO CYCLONES!!!
The Cyclones were victorious over Atchison High School last night. The girls won 52-44 followed by the boys victory 51-42. Both teams travel to Pembroke Hill today 2/25/20. Tip-off for girls at 6pm and boys at 7:30pm. GO CYCLONES!!!

SCHEDULE UPDATE: Due to low numbers for Atchison boys and girls basketball teams the JV boys game has been canceled and the JV girls will play two quarters. JV girls will start at 5:00 pm. Varsity games will stay the same, Varsity Girls @ 6 pm and Varsity Boys @ 7:30
There have been changes to our basketball schedule tomorrow 2/21/20 and Monday 2/24/20.
2/21/20 – JV boys’ game is canceled. Varsity girls will start at 5:30 pm followed by the Varsity boys at 7:00 pm both at KCKCC
2/24/20 – All games will be played at KCKCC. 4:30 pm JV girls and JV boys will play two quarters each due to low numbers of players available to play. JV girls will play the first two quarters followed by the JV boys two quarters. The Varsity girls will tip-off approximately 6:00 pm and Varsity boys approximately 7:30 pm. GO CYCLONES!!!

Due to the weather and possible poor road conditions, the games for tonight, Feb. 12, against Summit Christian have been cancelled. The games have been tentatively rescheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 13. Game times will be the same

Last night was historical for our basketball teams. Our boys had not played in the gym at Bishop Ward in over 50 years. Games vs University Academy were moved due to a water main break at KCKCC. Girls won 54-25, the boy lost 80-42. If you missed this opportunity to see the teams play in our gym, we are scheduled to play at Ward’s gym against Guadalupe Center on Tuesday 2/11/20 at 5 and 6:30 GET OUT THERE AND SUPPORT YOUR CYCLONES!!!!

Bishop Ward High School will cancel school in the event the Chiefs win and there is a celebration. The city has planned a parade for Wed, Feb 5. If the weather is bad on Wed, the parade would be held on Th, Feb 6 and that would be the day off instead of Wed. Go Chiefs!!!
