When our city has previously celebrated World Series and Super Bowl championships, this has created a tremendous impact on our entire community, which has put a strain on staffing, student attendance, and transportation. We anticipate this will be the case on Wednesday Feb. 15. Should the celebration be postponed, we will communicate any schedule adjustments."

Due to inclement weather, Bishop Ward High School is closed today, Wednesday, Jan 25, 2023. Classes will resume Thursday, Jan 26, 2023.
As you may be aware there is a social media post that has been circulating since last night. The KCK police are aware and have vetted the post. It appears to be a post from two months ago that has resurfaced. The police do not believe this is a credible threat to our school. We are being vigilant and have an extra police presence on campus today. The safety of our students, faculty and staff is first and foremost.

This Thursday, November 17, at 1 PM in the auditorium ,student volunteers from Bishop Ward's newly-formed Black Student Union will lead a presentation educating the student body on the history of racism and the civil rights movement. We are glad for this student initiative and the positive message it will bring to our whole student body.
Parents are welcome to attend, though seating may be limited.
