The Bishop Ward Athletic Department is proud to announce that Brandon Duff will be the new Head Football Coach for the Cyclones’ 2024 season. Coach Duff joined the Cyclone Family this year serving as a College and Career Counselor.  He was an assistant Football Coach in 2023, serving as the wide receivers and defensive backs coach.  He is also the JV Boys’ Basketball Coach, and will be an Assistant Coach for the Track and Field Team this Spring.

Duff came to Bishop Ward from Basehor Linwood High School where he was a defensive backs coach, as well as the powerlifting coach, and JV Baseball Head Coach for four years.  He was an assistant coach for the summer strength and speed program in 2013 for the Virginia Class 6A State Champions Centreville Wildcats.  He has also been an assistant coach for Elite NFL Combine Training Program, a Proctor for the BSN National Scouting Combine, and a Coach/Proctor for the 2014 NUC Combine and Showcase.  Coach Duff is a three time indoor and four time outdoor GPAC Conference Qualifier in the Triple Jump for Track and Field at Hastings College in Nebraska.  He graduated from Hastings College with a degree in Recreation and Sports Management and a minor in Coaching.  He and his wife, Jess, who is also a teacher at Bishop Ward in the English Department, have two young children.

Coach Duff said, “I would like to thank Bishop Ward for giving me this opportunity to step into the head coach role. I want to thank all of the people who supported me through this process and gave me the confidence to be a leader of young men. I couldn't think of a better place to begin my head coaching career than as a Cyclone. I am excited to give these young student athletes the tools to have success both on and off the field and I want to thank everyone in advance for your patience and support while we continue to grow as a program.”

Athletic Director, Mike Beaven, said, “Coach Duff brings a lot of energy to the program and connects really well with our students and athletes.  I’ve enjoyed coaching with him this past fall and I have no doubt he will give 100% to our Football program.”

The 2024 Football schedule will be available after July 1 at www.kawvalleyconference.org.  The Cyclones’ home opener will be September 13, 2024 against the Wyandotte High School Bulldogs.
