SHADOW DAY PROGRAM

There’s no better way to see if Bishop Ward is the right fit for your student than to have them experience a “Shadow Day” at Bishop Ward. On a “Shadow Day,” the prospective student is paired with a current BWHS student as their “shadow.” The prospective student will follow the BWHS student throughout their academic day.

To schedule a Shadow visit for your child, contact Sonya Sanchez in the Office of Admission at 913.229.3812 Shadow Days must be scheduled at least two days in advance.

Individual Shadow Days: What to Expect

Drop Off/Pick Up: Students are asked to report to the main office in the morning, typically between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. Students may choose to shadow for a half-day or a full day, but students must be picked up by an adult by 3:00 p.m.

Lunch: Each student will be given a $5 lunch ticket for the day that will pay for lunch in the cafeteria. This is usually more than enough for lunch, but some parents elect to give their child a couple dollars for extras.

Dress code: We ask that student visitors wear a polo or collared shirt and dress slacks.
