From today's Gospel:

"One of the Twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, 'What are you willing to give me if I hand him over to you?' They paid him thirty pieces of silver, and from that time on he looked for an opportunity to hand him over." -Matthew 26:14-16

In our lives, what do we sell Jesus for? What do we make more important in our lives than Jesus? Is it money? reputation? political status? popularity? property? power? comfort? friendships? technology? relationships?
Who/what in our lives are we willing to deny and betray in order to gain those things? Parents? Friends? Coworkers? Siblings? God? Truth? Integrity? Morals? Values?
What are we willing to give up in order to stand up for our faith and the truth of Jesus? money? reputation? property? power? comfort? friendships/relationships?
As we prepare to enter into the Triduum, let us make this honest examination in our lives and make a firm resolution to draw closer to our Lord and to live in His truth!
