Students March for Life

On Friday, January 27th, 27 Bishop Ward students attended the 2017 March For Life embracing the current theme, The Power of One. Led by Bishop Ward School President Reverend Thomas Schrader, O. Carm., students proudly marched on the grounds of the Washington Monument. Coming off of a 24-hour bus ride, the students were excited and focused.

Fr. Schrader remarked, “The students of Bishop Ward were at the rally early that morning and were present for more than four hours of music and speeches. It was wonderful to hear them react and reflect on the message of valuing human life.”

With the support of the Bishop Ward Campus Ministry staff, students had the opportunity for reflection and prayer during the trip.

"I have attended the March for Life many times but this year was truly special. It was wonderful to have VP Pence address the Rally and provide hope for truly valuing human life from conception to natural death. I was so proud of the staff and students as they represented Bishop Ward at the 44th March for Life in Washington, D.C.", said Fr. Schrader.
