Honors English III Field Trip

Monday, November 7, 2016: A group of Bishop Ward High School students from the Honors English III class visited the University of St. Mary in Leavenworth on Monday, November 7 to experience a college class and learn more about the school.

As part of the English class, students read the book The Light Between Oceans and discussed the book with members of the English faculty and students from St. Mary's.

“We are very grateful for the invitation to participate in this discussion, so the students can get a little of a college atmosphere. The Sisters are always so generous with their time and make it a great experience for our students,” said English teacher, Kelly Lipovitz.

Students also had the chance to meet school president, Sr. Diane Steele and hear from an admissions representative on the opportunities available to them at the university.
