Keynote Speaker!
Toby Cook
– Vice President of Publicity, Kansas City Royals

Toby will enter his 11th season with the Kansas City Royals and serves as the team’s Vice President of Publicity, promoting all aspects of the Club’s business efforts. As a veteran of broadcast journalism, Cook serves as a team spokesman for most off-the-field matters, works with local, regional and national media and runs the Club’s speakers bureau.

Prior to joining the Royals, Cook spent 15 years as a news anchor and reporter at four television stations, including WDAF-TV in Kansas City. He was also a reporter for several radio stations and newspapers.

Cook grew up as Missouri Synod Lutheran but converted to Catholicism in 2008. He believes that being part of the Royals was what brought him into the Catholic Church. At Easter Vigil Mass in 2008, Cook and his wife became Catholic and all five of his children have since been baptized. Since joining the Catholic Church, Cook and his family have been committed members of the Catholic community and continued to share their story and the good news of Jesus Christ.
