Bishop Ward High School

Class of 1970 Endowment

Give to the Class of 1970 Endowment Here!

Dear Classmates:

At our class reunion in September I announced the start of the Bishop Ward Class of 1970 Endowment Fund. We often refer to ourselves as “one of” if not “the best" class in the history of Ward High School. Now is our opportunity to give back and provide student scholarship aid for deserving students now and in the future.

Pep Club OfficersThe endowment fund is a permanent Trust separate from Bishop Ward’s day to day operating fund. The endowment principle account is permanent and only the interest is used to provide scholarships. I am extremely elated to announce a $40,000 anonymous gift to our 1970 Endowment Fund from two alumni in the class of ’70 and ’71 respectively. It is a challenge gift which requires us to raise a matching $40,000. Our goal is to raise the match and establish a lasting legacy for our class.

Yearbook StaffI would love to see 100% participation and encourage everyone to give what they can. To date $6,000 has been pledged toward our match of $40,000. We could certainly use your help in achieving our goal. We spent four years at Ward learning and developing life-long relationships. Let’s help give others that same opportunity.

Feel free to contact me by email at or call at 913-721-3299 (H) or 913-461-1104 (C) if you have any questions or wish to make a pledge. If you would prefer to deal directly with the Bishop Ward Development Office, you can call 913-371-6901.
