Meet our 2016-2017 Track and Field Coaching Staff!
Head Coach Eddie Minor who helps improves jumpers, middle distance, and relays.
Coach Reitemeier who is in charge of throwers, middle distance, and relays.
Coach Johnson who puts his skills into helping hurdles, throwers and sprint relays.
Coach O'Brien who dedicates his time helping sprinters, sprint relays, and hurdlers.
On a typical school day, scheduled practice will be from 3:30-5:00 p.m. If it is an alternative schedule or no school, practice will be adjusted accordingly. Rides need to be at stadium no later than 5:00. If this becomes a problem, it will affect athletes eligibility on the track team.
Clothing: Always overdress as the weather can change quickly! Have sweats, hoodies, shorts and appropriate shoes at the stadium for practice. Uniform is the Bishop Ward shorts and jersey.
Coaching Staff Expectations
The track and field team goal is to win every event and every track meet. We want each athlete aiming for the 1st place in their events! When you aim for the 1st place we all tend to give a much better effort to actually give it your all into the sport you love and enjoy. Ward started the tradition in 1908 and Ward must and will continue the tradition. Be thankful to be involved in a school like Bishop Ward and do your absolute best to represent your school in the best way you can. We compete for more than just our own benefit! We compete to give honor and glory to Jesus Christ! Anything less than your best isn't a mistake, it's a Sin! PREPARE, COMPETE, GIVE THANKS AND HONOR, AND HAVE FUN!
Strength and Conditioning
Hopefully, most of you have a Strength and conditioning class. We will have various times, consistently during the season to go to the weight room for those of you who don't have a strength and conditioning class. We can get stronger during the season and that's what we will do.
Track Meet Schedules and Practice Schedules
Meet Schedules can be found to the right and physical copies of both of these schedules will be handed out during the first week of practice. Due to the time of the year, there may be times when we adjust. If we have to adjust we will notify athletes/parents as soon as possible.

THURSDAY MARCH 2, 2017 - CONDITIONING FULL PRACTICE- SPRINTING, HILLS, ETC
FRIDAY MARCH 3, 2017 - CONDITIONING- COMBINATION OF BOTH
MONDAY-FRIDAY MARCH 6-9, 2017 - EACH ATHLETE WILL BE TESTED IN ALL TRACK AND FIELD EVENTS(EXCEPT POLE VAULT AND TRIPLE JUMP)
