Bishop Ward High School

“Contemporary Encounters with Christ”

Five exceptionally gifted Bishop Ward art students were selected to showcase their works of art in Archbishop Naumann’s Art Show themed “Contemporary Encounters with Christ”.

The following Bishop Ward students currently have art on display: senior Irmarie Fernandez, senior Sehila Rodriguez, senior Adrian Cisneros, junior Abraham Ayalla, and freshman Natalie Wilson.

Junior Abraham Ayalla was one of eight students out of 70 submissions to win a “juror’s choice” award which earned him a $100 cash prize. Abraham will have a solo show in April at the Alcott Arts Center.

Nick Tomasic ‘90, Bishop Ward Art Teacher, is proud of his students that have worked hard to perfect their talents.

“I am lucky to be able to guide these students on their artistic journey,” said Tomasic.

The exhibit is showcased at the Savior Pastoral Center and runs from March 2 through May 25, 2017.
